BACKEND SETUP — APPS SCRIPT
ONE-TIME · 5 MIN
⚠️ Until you complete this setup, form submissions will NOT save or send texts/emails. The hub looks good but data goes nowhere.
1
Open Apps Script in a Google Sheet
Go to your Google Drive and open any spreadsheet (the TB Equipment Tracker works). Click Extensions → Apps Script. A code editor opens in a new tab.
2
Paste the script code
In the Apps Script editor, select all the existing code (Ctrl/Cmd+A) and delete it. Then click COPY below and paste it into the editor.
3
Edit your team's contact info
At the top of the script you'll see CONFIG = { BRADY: {...}, JUSTIN: {...}, JESSICA: {...} }. Brady's info is already filled in. Replace JESSICAPHONE with Jessica's actual 10-digit phone (e.g. 6515551234). Add Justin's email and phone when you have them.
4
Save the script
Click the 💾 floppy disk icon (or Ctrl/Cmd+S). It will ask for a project name — call it TB Field Ops Backend.
5
Deploy as Web App
Click the blue Deploy button (top right) → New deployment.

• Click the ⚙️ gear icon next to "Select type" → choose Web app
• Description: TB Field Ops v1
• Execute as: Me (brady@drivensol.com)
• Who has access: Anyone ← important, don't pick "only myself"
• Click Deploy
6
Authorize access
Google will pop up: Authorize access. Click it → pick your account → you'll see a scary red warning that says "Google hasn't verified this app."

This is normal — it's your own script.

Click AdvancedGo to TB Field Ops Backend (unsafe)Allow.

(This warning appears for every personal script. It only means the script wasn't published to Google's public app store. Your script is safe because you wrote it.)
7
Copy the Web App URL
After deploy completes, you'll see a Web app URL (looks like https://script.google.com/macros/s/AKfycb.../exec). Copy that URL.

Paste it here:
8
Test it
Once the URL saves and the test passes, go back to the hub and submit any form. You should get a text + email within seconds.

Also run TEST_sendTestMessages from inside the Apps Script editor (top dropdown → pick TEST_sendTestMessages → click ▶ Run) to confirm texts and emails work.
